Dear PvPGN users,
It has come to our attention that a lot of people are requesting the Battle.net 2 integration with PvPGN 2 so that it could support the upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games (Diablo 3, Starcraft 2). PvPGN 2 will not support Battle.net 2 emulation, and there are plenty of legal reasons why we will not provide that functionality.
1) We all are ordinary people and don't have money to fight with the multi-billion gaming company that can ruin our lives with snap of fingers. 2) The new system is so heavily integrated in the game, that if someone develops the server emulator, he would have to crack the game. We don't support piracy. 3) We want to develop a legal gaming system; which everyone can enjoy without hassles, DMCA letters and other types of warnings.
With this post we want to thank you for your support to us all this year with Blizzard games. The WOL network will be perfected and we hope that we can add new games that don't have servers online anymore if we work a deal with gaming companies.
If you have any question, feel free to respond to this topic by replying.

Since our base isn't in the US they got less rights over us. Plus, running a private server is allow but! None-commercial.
Also, your questions should be placed in the administrivia forum.

Blizzard did shut down the original BNETD project, the original Battle.net Emulation Project.

Since when cracking the game is a problem? Can you even use current WC3 PvPGN servers without W3L?

W3L doesn't crack the game - in fact it doesn't modify any WarCraft III files - it simply makes a couple modifications to the code running in memory. Hence not a crack - merely a 3rd party loader.

Modifying files or not, it's a crack. As aler said, everything cracked on files can also be cracked on memory. There are no CD checks or anything needs to be removed, just change Battle.net addresses on memory and it should work. But, this is only about the #2 in the OP.

It is no longer US only, since Blizzard has open up a lot of business relation with regional operators. Those regional operators will have the rights to take actions against you. Even my country which most foreigners think we're still living on the trees is penetrated by the regional decision made by Blizzard.

US not because blizzard in US (they aren't in US only for a long time, if not all time) It's because US digital law is much more offensive than others

Then I don't really get why we were never closed, nor that servers like EuroBattle.Net/Bored Ausies etc.. Aren't closed.

I would say because more focus was being put into World of WarCarft and now StarCraft II. They are really going to protect the newer technologies, as that is what's the most profitable, and Blizzard like any other company wants to see a return on it's investment.

If so, why projects like MaNGOS haven't closed yet by almight Blizzard?
