ENGLISH ONLY
This is an English Only forum, any posts not in English will be removed and a warning issued. If another non-English post is created after a warning has been issued, the account will be suspended. Continued offences will result in a ban.
NO SPAMMING
Forum SPAM is the creating of messages that are advertisements, abusive, or otherwise unwanted on Internet forums. Spamming is not tolerated. If SPAM is found, the account will be permanently banned.
NO FLAMING
Flaming (also known as bashing) is hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users. Posts determined to be flamitory (includes racist and gender biased comments) in nature will be moderated and a warning issued to the offender. If a second offence occurs, the post will be moderated and the account will be banned for 30 days. Continued offences will result in a permanent ban.
NO DISCUSSING CRACKS, WAREZ, OR EMULATING SUBSCRIPTION MMORPGS
PvPGN does not support the use of illegal software. Although PvPGN seeks to emulate different gaming networks, the use of legal copies of the game clients is required. No talk about cracked game clients, or other illegally acquired utilities (including operating systems) will be tolerated. PvPGN will not ever emulate any subscription based MMORPGs (such as WoW). Discussion about emulating such networks is not allowed. Posts found discussing these topics will be removed and a warning issued to the offender. If a second offence occurs, the post will be removed and the account will be suspended. Continued offences will result in a ban.
NEW TOPICS
While we do not discourage the creation of new topics, utilize the SEARCH function of the forums before creating a new topic. Often times the question you have has already been answered and does not warrant a new topic. If you have searched the forums and the question has not been asked already, create a new topic for your question. A warning will be issued if the PvPGN Staff feel that offender has not utilized the SEARCH function and has created too many duplicate topics. If offences continue to occur after a warning has been issued, the account will be suspended. Continued offences will result in a ban.
BUMPING TOPICS
Bumping your own topic is permitted, but within reason. Sometimes a topic is read, but we don't have the available time to give an adequate reply; we have the intent to return to the topic later and we sometimes forget - thus bumping is tolerated. However, bumping your topic more than once or twice a week is excessive. If we determine that bumping is being abused, a warning will be issued. If abuse continues to occur after a warning has been issued, the account will be suspended. Continued abuse will result in a ban.
CONF & LOG FILES
Complete or long Conf/Log Files are to be attached to a post with the ATTACHMENT feature, not copied into the raw text of the post. The forums SEARCH function can become worthless if the forum is plagued with confs and logs are in the raw text of the posts. It is safe to include up to five lines from confs or logs in the raw text of a post, but it must be bracketed with [ code ][ /code ]. Example:
Posts found containing complete/long conf or log files in the raw text will be moderated, the text removed, and a warning issued. If a second offence occurs, the post will be moderated and the account will be suspended. Continued offences will result in a ban.
WARNINGS, SUSPENSIONS & BANS
WARNINGS remain on record for 60 days. An account can have a maximum of two warnings from different types of violations, and will receive a 10 day suspension upon committing a third violation.
SUSPENSIONS remain on record for 180 days. An account can have a maximum of two suspensions on file, and will receive a 30 day ban upon committing a third suspendable violation.
